About a Boi
I’ve always had a love affair with all things technological, design or feline. Be that modifying my desk lamp so I can control it with alexa or sick excel macros to optimise an ancient bit of software for work. I graduated the University of Exeter with an MENG in mechanical engineering. And have since put my love of systems and control engineering to good use as a mechatronic systems engineering within the automotive industry.
As you’ll read in my blog I was diagnosed with a condition called functional neurological disorder FND. It can at times be a very debilitating condition but it’s allowed my the time to embrace some of my passions outside of work as a way of recovering. This blog was set up as a way to keep my mind occupied whilst I took a break work to hopefully make a dull recovery.
My aim for this blog is to share my passions with anyone who’s prepared to endure my drivel. I’ll keep it updated with all the wacky DIY unnecessary solutions I’ve come up with for problems that never really existed and anything else that peaks my interest. I’d also like to post about FND as I don’t believe there’s enough information available to people with the condition and would like to share what I’ve learnt and any help I’ve had.
That’s enough drivel for now. Please feel free to peruse the pages of my website at free.
